A Look Into The Eyes of A Mermaid
Many of us have heard tales of mermaids and many of us have seen art depicting the lives of mermaids. At first mention of this mythical creature interest and positive energy arise. Most people will use kind words to describe her. Women want to be more like her with long flowing hair, perfect bodies and an attractive singing voice. Men want to meet them to get a closer look at this stunning creature sparking feelings of lust and desire.
The actual folklore behind mermaids is not as glamorous as most may think. The early history of the mermaid came from ancient Greek Mythology. The Sirens were lovely ladies dueling on a far away island composed of beautiful flowery meadows surrounded by jagged rocky outcroppings. The Sirens were mesmerizing creatures to look at and even more impressive to hear. Their beautiful voice was a dream come true to sailors that were weary and longing for the female touch. Drawn to this sound the sailors would drift their ships into the rocks leading to a tragic ending.
